A Love Blanket Under the Stars

His lips mastered hers,

as the firelight died a slow death

fireflies circled their blanket bed

so still their hearts---as if dead.

Love caressed their nectar passions

with ripples of pleasure to one’s soul

sweet rapture propels shockwaves to their body and mind.

Never to relive a moment so perfect---one dared to ponder

when great loving wraps two into a cocoon of heavenly bliss

forcefully, spiraling two hearts into the pregnant sea

creating waves of love and flaming desire.

Fingers locked together for hunger’s urges,

sending waves of sated delight

two glistening bodies’ now noiseless, watching stars overhead

as they slowly fall asleep on their blanket bed.

Her lips were swollen, but desired more

of his skilled love---forever

just his way.

Her body felt lonesome as he slept by her side

her finger caressed his rippling muscles as he slept

she watched him breath

feeling discontent without the heat of his love

she experienced under the stars,

her skin register the caresses to recall again

she touched him once more

then she slept again in his arms.

A chickadee ate breakfast by a fawn

two lovers slowly awaken as light filtered

through the trees and their thoughts.

He kissed her good morn

then dressed to depart

his armor reflected the early light

as his mighty steed left all behind.

She heard him say: Forever my Darling

then disappeared from her sight.

Her salty tears were happy ones

filled with wonder and delight

her Knight would return

when the stars shone brightest.

She walked to her horse

without looking back to

their blanket love bed.

She dreamed that night

of her wedding dress

their forest bed covered with roses

with him waiting to love her through life

and death would not part

for their blanket bed lived forever in their hearts.
