Is He Searching for Me?

My heart is like the angry sea,
Its mighty waves peak and roar
and will forever be,
Waiting I am here—
until my true love finds me.
Where is my true love that is waiting?
Is he searching or hesitating?
Does he look up at the stars at night?

Is he still looking when morning is light?
Does he watch the streets and parks?
Is he able to read many hearts?
I am waiting for him here,
In the City Park so near.

Will his eyes seek out mine?

Are my needs a sin or a crime?

I want a love to last until the end of time,

A blissful love needs to be sublime.

I can feel him sometimes so very near,

My hearts beats fast to give a cheer.

Where is he in my life?

Do I know him or is this searching all in strife.

I only want to be his loving wife,

Yes---for life.

Now I see people in the city everywhere,

They walk by me without a care.

I think I will join a dating site,

And maybe I will find my Knight.

I know he is out there somewhere,

In this world somewhere he is there.

Love Can

Love can calm the anger in any lover's fight,

It can bond two people together with all its might.

Love is there when lover's are happily sated,

This happens to ones who has long dated.

Love is the light that shines in ones eyes for just you--
and makes you feel divine,

And his sweet lips like honey says---you are mine.

Love is forever, and a day,

It has always been that way.

Love will make you laugh and cry,

It will surprise you and make you sigh.

Love is what you feel for only one,

Never for another can it be done.

Love is truth--when you are near or far apart,

Love is the seed that grows n your heart.

Love is only real, for the ones who feel.

Love is non-negotiable, and will never leave,

Even after death and you grieve.

Is His Love Faithful and True?

When the morning Doves coos

welcomes the light of day,

I am awaken by the flickering light—

filtering through the trees,

and splashing daylight my way.

I am told love comes to those who wait,

But patience is not my virtue, nor is it my mate.

So many times I stood watching the waves as they slowly

wet the beach sand,

It reminds me time is ticking away, and where is

my man.

Was this a real business convention?

Or has another woman captured his attention.

Yesterday, he kissed me good-bye at the door,

He left so fast—I wanted more.

He did not call last night as he promised to the skies,

There will be no compromise.

Is he a liar—that is easily surmised?

It is not I that will be surprised.

The doorbell chimes----I walk slowly to answer the door,

And just delivered are flowers galore.

Flowers are beautiful indeed,

But this man had better take heed.

I never trust a man, who lied once to me,

Never a fool will I be.

No excuses will I conceive,

When he arrives, he will just have to leave.

Does he love me? I would say no,

This liar will have to go.

Never think a woman who is blond is dumb,

Or you may see a war dance and never hear the drum.

He is no man of mine,

I will give him no time,

He is not worth a dime.
