His Masterful Lips

I hold his photo closely so I can see,

A perfect man who belonged to me.

Many times---I stared at---his flawless face,

He was dark and handsome with deep dimples in place.

My soft finger tips traced his full masterful lips,

His lips sent my mind in rotations and with their little nips.

His dimples I filled with kisses,

So long ago my mind reminisces.

Our time eons ago---seemed always in the fall,

Or was it the best of seasons---I can recall.

I remember his blue eyes with lights of green,

He made me feel like a beautiful queen.

He braided a crown of purple wildflowers,

I wore them on my head for hours.

Now they are crushed between my Bible’s pages,

I have kept them there---dry and brittle---for ages.

When the fall leaves swirl and flow,

In the cool breezes that blow.

My heart is for a moment sad,

While my mind recalls---what a great love we had.

I still walk through the mountain paths we shared,

And I sit upon the same rock---when your love for me
---you declared.

You loved to feel my face and how soft and smooth
my skin was then,

How you loved my hands and held them tightly---
as if to never let go---again.

So many moonlight kisses---I cannot count,

But I can feel each kiss still---but not the amount.

When you left that day in the early dawn,

We watched a doe feed with her fawn.

And you promised then---leaving meant ---happy returns,

For many years my heart waited---but it finally learns.

You left these mountains alive and well,

And you returned to me in a coffin---just a shell.

Now as I walk slowly to your grave---to sit a spell,

I wish all wars went straight to Hell.

If not the fighting---here you would be,

Sitting with me peacefully under our favorite tree.

But you cannot see or hear me now---anyway,

I will leave the purple wildflowers I brought this day.

Walk slowing into the light my darling---for I will be with you soon,

Then as young lovers we can dance and croon.

Life on earth is just a rehearsal,

It is the spirit world that is universal.

You are waiting for my spirit to rise and greet,

This is a real beginning---when we meet.

Kiss me then my love---and forever more,

It is you that I unashamedly adore.

His masterful lips,

That gave me little nips.

Lightning Eyes

                   His Jade Eyes

His eyes lit up when I walked into the room,
He took away my non-love gloom.

His lightning jade eyes struck my heart,
Forever making a special mark on my love chart.

His eyes caressed my face and lips,
Heat shattered my body while his eyes slowly took trips.

He walked across the room to me,
I could only stare---but could not see.

Taking my hand in his---was electrifying,
We danced slowly to a sad song that had me crying.

He kissed away the tears on the dance floor,
What else could I endure---but there was more.

We dance every dance as he softly sang to me,
He looked like a pirate---who would take me out to sea.

His dark good looks held me spell-bound,
I could not speak or make a sound.

After the music stopped I stood all alone,
Then reality caused my heart to moan.

I thought he had vanished into thin air,
But he was beckoning me to a chair.

Our chairs were positioned so close---he took my hand so gently,
He began to kiss each finger---slowly his full lips sent chills---intently.

Until---I was sure my heart would take no more,
He stood and walked across the floor and out the door.

What happened? I was in shock,
My heart was heavy as a rock.

It appears from what I am told,
He does this often---he is bold.

But what he did not know---it bothered me none,
Because ----who can understand ---men and their ways of fun.

So I am warned---and now I ready and on a lurk,
I am wearing my meter that will detect---a jerk.

So take your lightning eyes and strike elsewhere,
As I will be unaffected---I swear.

Smile

His smile warms my heart and makes me blush,

He past me in the hall---he smiled---but was in a rush.

Smile at me once more,

His beautiful smile I adore.

His smile radiated love signals---to me I hope,

Is there anyone else for him---I hope nope.

His smile followed me home to appear in my dreams,

We were dancing---under the moonlight it seems.

When he asked me for a date,

I said “Yes---I didn’t hesitate.”

Long story short---I now see his smile every day many times over,

I see it in our twins---they smile and laugh as they play with Rover.

A smile can wake-up the coldest heart,

So don’t forget to smile---it can give your love life a start.

Memorizing Experience

Most of us know the type that catches our attention,

Some prefer tall dark and handsome bad boys---a few I could mention.

Whether in High School or college,

He made our hearts palpitate—and

sometimes we giggled---this is common knowledge.

Did yours look like Channing Tatum or Tom Selleck?

Whomever---your heart yearned for--- he was Angelic.

Was it his long legs, his biceps or his eyes that shines with admiration?

Or maybe his lips so full and masterful ---and you tasted them---with great appreciation.

Did he call you after your first date?

Or did you sit by the phone and wait?

Inconsideration has spread through our Nation,

The outbreak is epidemic---no cause for a celebration.

If this sounds like you,

Well---girlfriend this is what I do.

When a guy says---I will call you,

I say---I’m never home to answer---I coo.

So softly I say bye-bye,

I might see you on the fly.

If you want to see me---you will,

Until then fellow---you can just chill.

So many guys--- on campus,

Handsome---not doing tricks like a grampus.

Don’t give them the chance to think you are needy,

Nor, for a relationship---you are greedy.

Just be yourself and have fun,

And when it is over---it is simply done.

This is called experience---we all need it so,

Without it---you might settle for an unlovable beau.

Angel Feather

Walking home late one night,

I witnessed a wondrous sight.

As a long white fluffy feather fell----in the moonlight,

I picked it up, and stardust danced and sparkled bright.

It felt alive within my hand,

It is difficult to believe it happened to me----a mortal woman.

I heard there were a lucky few,

That had found a feather---too.

Believe it or not---it is the truth I tell,

For with this feather---I made people well.

Although this happened so long ago---my feather

is still white as snow and strong as leather,

Yes---my friends it is my Angel Feather.

A Little Girl’s Prayer

I thank you Dear God for making my Grandmother---I call her Mimi.

Her soft voice sings me to sleep with a prayer “I pray the Lord my Soul to keep”

She said it is much better to talk to you than count all those sheep.

My Mimi takes me to school each morning as Mama nurses my baby brother,

Thank you---God for sending him---just for us. But Lord---I don’t need another.

He cries too much because he is a baby my Mimi said,

And my mercy he has no hair on his tiny head.

His blue eyes stares and he smiles so sweetly at me,

Mama said he cannot focus yet---but I know he can see.

After school--- I looked into his bed to see if he is asleep,

And I pray to the Lord again for my brother’s soul to keep.

When we grow up a good sister I will be to him,

Yes, I love my little brother named---Jim.

I will teach him---the ABC’s,

And to count 1,2,3’s.

I will show him how to climb a tree,

And carefully watch a honey bee.

And to make a Valentine,

And draw a card at Christmas time.

To sing Jingle Bells, in our red hoods,

And sing “Over the River and through the Woods.”

I will teach Jim how to make a snowman stand,

And put a glove on the snowman’s short stick hand.

I will choose his first girlfriend for him.

Dear God I am so tired now---I will just say Amen for Jim.

And Lord thank you too, for always being here,

So very near. Amen

Is He Searching for Me?

My heart is like the angry sea,
Its mighty waves peak and roar
and will forever be,
Waiting I am here—
until my true love finds me.
Where is my true love that is waiting?
Is he searching or hesitating?
Does he look up at the stars at night?

Is he still looking when morning is light?
Does he watch the streets and parks?
Is he able to read many hearts?
I am waiting for him here,
In the City Park so near.

Will his eyes seek out mine?

Are my needs a sin or a crime?

I want a love to last until the end of time,

A blissful love needs to be sublime.

I can feel him sometimes so very near,

My hearts beats fast to give a cheer.

Where is he in my life?

Do I know him or is this searching all in strife.

I only want to be his loving wife,

Yes---for life.

Now I see people in the city everywhere,

They walk by me without a care.

I think I will join a dating site,

And maybe I will find my Knight.

I know he is out there somewhere,

In this world somewhere he is there.
