His eyes lit up when I walked into the room,
He took away my non-love gloom.
His lightning jade eyes struck my heart,
Forever making a special mark on my love chart.
His eyes caressed my face and lips,
Heat shattered my body while his eyes slowly took trips.
He walked across the room to me,
I could only stare---but could not see.
Taking my hand in his---was electrifying,
We danced slowly to a sad song that had me crying.
He kissed away the tears on the dance floor,
What else could I endure---but there was more.
We dance every dance as he softly sang to me,
He looked like a pirate---who would take me out to sea.
His dark good looks held me spell-bound,
I could not speak or make a sound.
After the music stopped I stood all alone,
Then reality caused my heart to moan.
I thought he had vanished into thin air,
But he was beckoning me to a chair.
Our chairs were positioned so close---he took my hand so gently,
He began to kiss each finger---slowly his full lips sent chills---intently.
Until---I was sure my heart would take no more,
He stood and walked across the floor and out the door.
What happened? I was in shock,
My heart was heavy as a rock.
It appears from what I am told,
He does this often---he is bold.
But what he did not know---it bothered me none,
Because ----who can understand ---men and their ways of fun.
So I am warned---and now I ready and on a lurk,
I am wearing my meter that will detect---a jerk.
So take your lightning eyes and strike elsewhere,
As I will be unaffected---I swear.
